Make More Money by Cloaking Your Page Links Effectively

The internet today has become a wide and reliable source for selling and buying products. The internet industry that has developed it’s presence is full of competitors who are entangled with each other for a cut-throat competition to get the maximum number of visitors and a higher amount of revenue. They try and market themselves in any way possible, from social networks to deep linking SEO, so that they can gather maximum importance in search engines.

One keen practice that these internet marketers make use of these days is known as link cloaking. The word “cloaking” itself means dressing up or hiding. Therefore link cloaking refers to indirectly hiding or depicting a link of any website or your own webpage such that the search engine spiders or even users for instance do not realize its genuine source. This practice is really helpful for those who wish to have more visibility of their site content and products rather than just cling on to their domain names.

Make More Money by Cloaking Your Page Links Effectively

Affiliate businesses are the ones who reap the maximum benefits and consider cloaking a blissful technique. This is because for an affiliate, its site is not usually claiming to own the products that it displays or promotes throughout the internet. On affiliate sites you would often find links that point directly to their client’s domain. Once a person visits the affiliate site and intentionally clicks on the links to make a purchase he is taken to an alien site which also has a different and usually easy to remember domain.

This makes the visitor understand that the previous site was one developed by an affiliate webmaster and there was no need in visiting his site to make a purchase later or the next time it was to place an order.

However a smart affiliate would usually practice link cloaking to cover the genuine site he is supposed to redirect the visitor to make a sale. With cloaking, even the visitor may not feel alienated and would usually remember the affiliate’s site as to make a purchase either the next time or make another purchase.

Reasons Why You Should Cloak Your Links

Reasons Why You Should Cloak Your LinksMany affiliates who manage such sites to earn through commissions usually are not fully aware on coding and scripting of the site. Therefore those whose sites are not secured are prey of getting them stolen or hijacked through these expert webmasters who identify these people as being affiliates. Link cloaking fools them to think that the products appear on the same site rather than any other.

Many visitors these days are getting smarter and want stuff to be easier for them. If they saw links that were long, ugly and a bit complicated on your site they would rather not visit them next time. Cloaking your links may not only make them friendlier to the eye but also make it more search engine friendly by adding a little keywords in the new link you prepared for a page.

How to Protect Yourself from Online Fraud

These days becoming an online fraud victim is almost more common than having your house broken into. That’s because it’s a lot easier to trick you online and access your banking information than risk being caught by the police when forcing your door open. Unfortunately, there is no universal recipe for protecting yourself from online fraud. Nevertheless, there are a few things you can do to minimize the risk of being caught out.

1. Use Reliable Security Software

How to Protect Yourself from Online FraudMost Windows users know how important it is to have antivirus software installed on their computers. There are a lot of different antiviruses and security suites available today, but not all of them have the features to protect you from online fraud. When choosing an antivirus, make sure that it offers real-time protection, has privacy control features and anti-phishing tools.

2. Never Share Your Bank Details

Whether you are a buyer or a seller, you should avoid sharing your bank details with anyone. There are plenty of secure online payment systems, such as PayPal, Moneybookers and AlertPay to name a few that only need an email address to send or receive payments.
Another thing to avoid is bogus emails pretending to be from your bank. If you receive an email asking you to enter a new PIN or update your information, ignore it and notify your bank immediately.

3. Never Respond to Suspicious emails

Most people receive dozens of emails from unknown senders and sometimes it’s very tempting to reply to one or two of them. Well, don’t. Responding to such emails will only tell spammers that your email address exists and they will start bombarding you with spam.

4. Verify The Seller

Sad as it is, but there are a lot of bogus online stores out there. That’s why you should check and double check unknown stores, especially if they are offering deals that sound too good to be true. A legitimate store will always use a verified secure connection (https://), have security seals, and have clear shipping, return and refund policies. If you are not sure about a particular vendor, you can check it out on

5. Use Your Credit Card

When shopping online, it’s always safer to use a credit card. That’s because credit cards offer better fraud protection and you won’t have to pay huge overdraft fees if something goes wrong.
These tips will help you to stay away from cyber criminals and protect yourself from online fraud. Remember to always rely on your common sense and you will never become the next fraud victim.

10 Tips for Printing Web Pages

Printing web pages can be a bit troublesome especially for pages with unusual layouts. You may end up with strange arrangements of the page elements, poor image quality or with some information missing entirely. Here are some tips that can help you successfully print web pages:

10 Tips for Printing Web Pages

1. Select The Print Version

Many pages have icons or links that take you to a printer-friendly version of the same web page. Generally this is the easiest way to ensure that you get all the vital information contained in the web page. The print version also will generally remove ads, menus and unnecessary graphics from the web page.

2. Preview The Web Page

Select Print Preview from your web browser to see how the page will print out on your printer. From the Print Preview interface, you can see how much paper will be required to print the entire web page. You can select whether you want to print all of the web page or just a part. You can also choose to resize the page image so that everything fits on to the printed page.

3. Try Copy And Paste

Copy and paste into another editing program before printing. If the web page does not have a printer-friendly version, you can copy the parts you want and paste them into editing applications like Microsoft Word. Copying web pages can be a bit tricky and you may end up with some stuff that you don’t want. However, it is easy to delete these items from your editing application.

4. Edit Or Remove Headers And Footers

Browsers like Internet Explorer and Firefox allow you to edit headers and footers from the “Page Setup” option. You may wish to remove the headers and footers entirely or to edit them so that you retain just what you need.

5. Try Landscape

Change page orientation to Landscape for wide web pages. If the content on the web page is too wide to print within your paper’s margins, you can choose to print in Landscape orientation instead. In most cases, you will be able to choose this option from your browser’s Page Setup. Alternatively, you can choose the orientation from your printer’s options.

6. Keep It Monochromatic

Save color ink by printing in grayscale or black and white. Web pages are often very colorful with abundant graphics and printing them in color can expend a lot of expensive toner. Usually a printer-friendly version of a page will remove the excess color, but these are not always available. To save toner, choose to print in grayscale or black and white from your browser or printer options.

7. Print At Lower Resolution

Another way to save toner is select the quality of printing for the web page. If you do not need to preserve photo or other graphic image quality, you can select a lower printing quality. Not only does the lower quality printing save toner, but it also speeds up the printing job. Some printers have special speed printing options that print at just acceptable reading quality in order to maximize printing speed.

8. Printing With Frames

Many pages come with multiple frames and you may want to print the page as it appears or to select only certain frames for printing. Internet Explorer allows you to choose to print out the page as it is laid out or to select specific frames for printing. Firefox and Safari allow you to right click on a frame and choose to print just that frame from the page.

9. Print Selected Content From A Web Page

Internet Explorer allows you to select specific text and graphics for printing from a web page. Just hold down the left mouse button while dragging the cursor over the desired text and graphics. With the items highlighted, select File and Print. From the print interface, choose “Selection under the Print Range.”

10. Use Photo Quality Paper

If you want to preserve the quality of a high resolution photo from a web page, you should use photo quality printing paper. In many cases, you will have to select “Shrink to Fit” in order to print the entire high resolution photo within the margins of your paper.

Slow Browser? Simple Tips to Speed up Internet Explorer and Firefox

A lot of people complain that they have a slow computer, but in reality they are suffering from a slow browser. When it comes to speed, Internet Explorer is by far the worst. However, even Firefox can be slower than you like. Luckily, it’s easy enough to speed up Internet Explorer and Firefox. All you need to do is follow these simple tips.

Set your homepage to blank

Do you always want to see a specific page when you start browsing the web? If yes, then skip this tip. If not, then it makes sense to set your homepage to blank. This will make your browser load faster. If you use Internet Explorer, simply go to Tools – Internet Options – General tab and click on Use blank in the homepage section.

Firefox users will need to click on the orange Firefox button, go to Options – General and select Show a blank page from the drop-down menu.

Control the cache

Every single Web browser uses cache to store images and other Temporary Internet Files. In theory, this makes previously visited websites load faster. But in reality a bloated cache slows down browsing and takes up a lot of hard drive space. The solution is to clear the cache on a regular basis.

Here is how you can clear the cache in Internet Explorer:

    •  Open Internet Explorer and press Ctrl+Shift+Del
    •  Now check Temporary Internet Files, Cookies and History checkboxes

Slow Browser? Simple Tips to Speed up Internet Explorer and Firefox

  •  Click Delete and close the browser

If you use Firefox, then do the following:

  • 1. Click on the Firefox button and then go to Options

  • Navigate to the Advanced panel and then go to the Network tab
  • Click on the Clear Now button in the Offline Storage section and then click OK

Decrease the size of your cache

Like many default settings in Windows, the Internet Explorer cache setting is not perfect. By default the cache is too large. Fortunately, it’s easy to decrease the size of browser cache to prevent bloat and speed up browsing. Here is how:

  • Click on the Tools button and go to Internet Options
  • Go to the General tab
  • Under Browsing history, click on the Settings button
  • In the window that appears, set the disk space to 50MB. In theory, you could set the cache size to as low as 8MB, but that will render the cache useless.
  • Click OK to apply the changes

Firefox has an option for you to resize the cache as well:

  • Click on the Firefox button and then click on Options
  • Go to the Advanced pane, check the Override automatic cache management and set the cache to 50MB
  • Click OK to close Options

Disable RSS feeds in Internet Explorer

Are you subscribed to any RSS feeds? If the answer is no, then you don’t need Internet Explorer’s RSS Feeds. And if you are, then you probably use a third-party feed reader and don’t need Internet Explorer’s RSS Feeds anyway. To add insult to injury, Internet Explorer’s RSS Feeds slows down your browser. Who needs a useless feature that makes your computer slow? Disabling it is very easy:

  • Go to Tools, select Internet Options and select the Content tab
  • In the Feeds and Web Slices section, click on Settings
  • Uncheck everything and click OK

Enable pipelining in Firefox

HTTP pipelining is a feature that allows the browser to send multiple requests to a single socket without waiting for the corresponding responses. Enabling it can significantly speed up page loading.

To enable pipelining, do the following:

  • Open Firefox, type about:config in the address bar and hit Enter. Click I’ll be careful, I promise! if it appears

Slow Browser? Simple Tips to Speed up Internet Explorer and Firefox

  • Enter network.http.pipelining into the filter box
  • Double-click on network.http.pipelining to set the value to true
  • Now do the same for your proxy server. Find the value and check that network.http.proxy.pipelining is set to true as well
  • Now find and double-click network.http.pipelining.maxrequests and set the number of pipelining requests to 8 and click OK. Eight is the maximum number of pipelining requests currently available
  • Return to browsing the Web and enjoy the extra speed!

These simple tips will help you speed up your browser and have a better Web experience. Please let us know in comments if you still facing any problem.
